We Succeed.

As a high school student at Columbia Heights Educational Campus (DC), Lorrin Davis participated in our 2016 NetWings Delegation to Germany. Through NetWings, Lorrin developed a Case Study on the Syrian Refugee Crisis. This Case Study work, alongside her participation in Michelle Obama's Let Girls Learn Program were highlights of her selection for a full ride scholarship to attend George Washington University. Lorrin is interested in studying international affairs to pursue her dream of working as a Foreign Service officer. We look forward to keeping up with Lorrin to see the ways in which her NetWings experience continues to influence her throughout college and she pursues her career path.

As a College Student at the University of Virgina (VA), Laurie Findley participated in our 2016 NetWings Delegation to Germany. Through NetWings, Laurie developed a Case Study on the Syrian Refugee Crisis. Her experience meeting refugees in Germany inspired her to continue refugee advocate work around the world. After her NetWings experience, Laurie spent a summer in Greece meeting refugees, documenting their stories, and creating solutions for issues they were experiencing. She even got to connect with ourNetWings contacts in Greece. This past fall, Laurie was invited to speak about her refugee work at UN Peace Day in New York. We are eager to follow Laurie's journey advocating for our global neighbors, in local ways.

As a college student at The Universidad de Guadalajara (MX), Isaac Lopez participated in our 2017 NetWings Delegation to Germany. Through NetWings, Isaac attended the World Business Dialogue Conference and met peers and young professionals from around the world. Learning about different countries through conversations and insight with these new networks, Isaac developed 'Claro y Conciso- a Youtube channel dedicated to sharing clear and concise creative videos highlight current topics in his home country of Mexico.
